At Stampede Tack & Western Wear, we would like to announce that we are hosting a 6 part series titled “Get to Know Your Horse Better” facilitated by JCS Vet Repro Services. Dr. Juan Samper and Dr. Tracy Plough will be discussing 6 different topics throughout the year.

To recap what we have done so far, the first part of our series this past April focused on First Aid. The second in our series was early May and the focus was COLIC. Specifically, what types of colic should we concern ourselves with and the best ways to deal with each.

Part 3 will be on Tuesday, June 25th and it will be looking at Sporthorse Health. Keep that date open on your calendar because we will be dealing with issues relating to how to keep your competition horse sound right through to what to expect from pre-purchase exams.

Part 4 will be Tuesday, September 10th and will cover Respiratory Issues.

Part 5 will be a Halloween theme of WORMS on Tuesday, October 22. Our two Doctors will be talking about the latest worming protocols as well as what worms we are de worming for.

The last topic of our series will be on Dental Issues on Tuesday December 3rd.

The seminars are interactive so you are open to ask as many questions as you want. Come visit and browse around the store at 6:30pm and the start time will be at 7pm sharp. Refreshments and snacks will be available as well as door prizes. On nights of the seminars there will be discounts offered on specific products. For participants that attend all 6 parts they will receive a certificate of completion. All the “Get to Know Your Horse Better” seminars will be at Stampede Tack and Western Wear in Surrey BC.
